This year Orzone will once again provide the opportunity for education and interaction in a real life training environment – Orcamp; a hybrid training cathlab. CIRSE delegates will have the possibility to train on the specific topic in life-like situations in dedicated sessions, led by proctors from the CIRSE faculty. As a participating delegate you will be able to register for the educational session in Orcamp, on site at CIRSE 2011 (10-14 September 2011).

Orcamp – a hybrid training environment

Orcamp is an advanced simulation tool for training and assessment in a highly realistic cathlab environment, with hybrid OR functionality. By simulating real equipment in combination with life-like medical simulations, the goal is to teach realistic operation behaviour, both for the team and the individual operator. Orcamp consists of a c-arm, a table, a control panel, a pedal and screens. The screens are used for software for procedure planning, briefing, debriefing, and step-by-step scenarios, along with external integrated simulators GUI with peripheral information such as Ultrasound, vital signs and ECG. Orcamp is integrated with a high fidelity procedural VR simulator; VIST® -C developed by Mentice. The Mentice VIST® -C simulator is a portable endovascular simulator that enables hands-on, procedural technical skills training for clinicians and medical professionals.
