BT/ST
Planning tools for trainee doctors
Doctors' basic duties (BT) and specialization duties (ST) follow the regulations and goal descriptions of the National Board of Health and Welfare. These state how the training should be planned, implemented, assessed and documented – from the first day of basic duties to the application for specialist competence.
This entire structure is built into a digital planning tool for training doctors BT/ST. Goals, activities, assessments and certificates are organized so that everything is in line with the requirements of the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.

Parts of the planning tool
Individual Education Program (IUP)
The training begins with an individual training program (IUP) that is developed based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's goal descriptions. In the platform, the IUP is linked to interim goals, assessments, competencies and training activities, which makes it easy to plan, follow up and adjust the training throughout the BT and ST period.
Assessment and progression
During the training, all activities, assessments, supervision discussions and courses are documented directly in the platform. The system clearly shows what has been achieved, what remains and how the progression develops over time.
Service record and certificate
The platform contains a digital duty list that is automatically updated based on registered periods. The list shows which care units and time periods are included in the training – a central part of the basis for the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate.
Application to the National Board of Health and Welfare
When all milestones are met, the platform automatically generates the complete application to the National Board of Health and Welfare, including the list of duties, certificates and attachments. Everything is collected in one place – structured, quality assured and traceable.
